Business Account Manager Job Description
Primary Objectives:
- Manage an assigned territory/ market segment while focusing on 1) Activation quotas, 2) AW specific quality measures, 3) Activation, Upgrade, Data Equipment quotas, and 4) Continuously educating and servicing the subscriber base.
- Develop and identify potential new leads
- Attend sales and training meetings
- Submit logs, reports and funnel management updates as required
- Provide quality customer service and follow up post-sale
- Provide on-going product training opportunities to subscribers
- Maintain & evolve positive relationships with local Carrier personnel in the respective market
- Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Remain in contact with local business or opportunities monthly
- Point of contact for local business or strategic accounts in the region
- Increase sales funnel through cold calling, telemarketing, direct mail, and lead generation tool
- Provide on-going training of Carrier applications to business subscribers
- Work with Carrier & Manufacturer Reps to ensure BAM is knowledgeable and up to date on programs, promos, and alerts on a real time basis
- Review Carrier bills, for rate plan savings or usage changes
- Recommend ways small business can save money on their communication devices.
- Review reports for accuracy & quality
- Follow up from leads generated by Co-op and marketing program
- Required to provide all requested information to Regional Sales Management or coordinator as required by management
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of outside sales experience, minimum 1 year industry experience
- B2B sales experience a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent closing skills required
- PC skills & working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Sharepoint, Outlook, Internet etc
Other Requirements:
Travel required – mostly driving within assigned territory, but periodic air travel for corporate trade shows, trainings, sales summits or incentive programs.
